Uniform motion of folly by Jeanne C. Davis
A film about breaking apart and putting yourself back together again

After her husband dies, Ella Manetti and her two children, Lena and Fletcher, must move from the privilege and comfort of Malibu to the struggling rural family farm of her brother-in-law, Vincent. Ella outwardly tries to turn it into a adventure for the kids and focuses on a return to the good life. But she and the kids struggle with their loss of husband, father, home, and in Lena's case, a budding acting career as well.

All this would be enough to deal with, but then the question of suicide arises. Ella’s growing fear of the hereditary effects of suicide color her perceptions. The Uniform Motion of Folly refers to the inability of some people to deviate from a course they have so much invested in, even if that course is not in their best interest.

A mixture of poignant comedy and wrenching drama, The Uniform Motion of Folly is, in the end, about creating a new life from the pieces of your past.
