Fleischer Mordo Ranch Saddle

This saddle was commissioned by Mr. and Mrs. Mort Fleischer for their saddle collection - the largest private saddle collection in the world.

Our goal was to incorporate the looks of the classic parade saddles with a piece that was customized with the Fleischer Ranch logo and our own Skyhorse look.

We did this by inverting a classic scroll design, carving his ranch name on the cantle back, and working the three horse logo into the tooling pattern. Every edge is braided with our unique silver edge braid, and the 187 sterling silver pieces by Jeff Georgantes, combine a modern repose with a classic engraved edge. It was an honor and a thrill to create this ensemble of saddle, bridle, reins and matching breastcollar.

This set was the prelude to our next creation - the very first saddle set in our Skyhorse Collection. We intend to begin our collection with a silver feather saddle. The silver is by Thomas Singer, a well -known Navajo silversmith, and the 125 silver and turquoise feathers will line the edges of this saddle. It will be fully tooled with a scroll and feather tooling pattern, hand carved by Lisa.

Every edge will have Loren's famous silver edge braiding. The full set will include a bridle, breastcollar and reins and will be presented on its own display stand with built-in lighting. The saddle will make its debut at the SouthWest Design Conference in Santa Fe, Jun 24-26. Number one of this silver feather saddle will be retained for our personal collection, but the final 2 of 3 will be available to order.
