Electric Horseman Motorcycle

A one-of-a-kind project built by Loren Skyhorse that showcases practical electric vehicle technology as well as master-crafted leatherwork by Lisa and Loren.

The 8,000 rpm direct drive motor provides enough torque from standstill to go from zero to 50 in 5 seconds, and still reaches a top speed of 75 mph with no shifting required.

Six sealed 12-volt batteries capable of 400 cycles for their life, with an onboard charger. Charging time is 3.5 hours (fully discharged), and range is 30 miles under normal conditions.

Starting bike is a 1978 Kawasaki kz 650, and finished weight is 450 lbs.
